Why Cottone.io

I’ve been building software professionally since 2009, starting with my own web agency, then working inside enterprise teams at Transamerica, Gannett and IQVIA, and today as a Principal Software Engineer, where I build Salesforce and Agentforce solutions.

Along the way I never stopped building things of my own. Cottone.io is where those projects grow up into real products, with real support, real privacy policies, and someone accountable for them. It is a one-person studio on purpose. The person who designs each screen also writes the code, runs the servers, and answers your email.

How I like to work

I came to engineering through design. I made my first logos and business cards by hand in Illustrator and Photoshop, and I still care about how software feels as much as how it works. In practice that means:

• Pick the right tool for each platform. SwiftUI for Apple Watch, Next.js and Postgres on the web, and Expo where an app needs to share code with its web version.
• Automate the boring parts. Every change passes automated tests and linting before it ships.
• Use AI to go faster, not to cut corners. I’m a Claude Certified Associate and a certified Agentforce Specialist, and I use AI tools every day to explore ideas and move faster.

Off the keyboard

Golf, snowboarding, boating and travel, usually with an idea for the next app somewhere in the back of my mind.
